The world's first mass production vehicle
As one of the most popular travel modes in the future, the giants have already seen their market prospects and layout one after another, attracting a large number of funds to enter, which has played an important role in supporting the innovation and development of flying vehicles. According to incomplete statistics, in 2017, more than 20 teams around the world are conducting research and development of flying vehicles, the main participants are roughly divided into four categories: aircraft manufacturers, automotive companies, Internet companies and start-ups.
Aston Martin, for example, has demonstrated the Volante Vision concept of flying cars, Uber has teamed up with Brazilian Airlines to build a network of flying taxis, and Porsche and British engine maker Rawls Royce have also expressed their willingness to join the development of flying cars.
However, most of the enterprises' flying cars only stay in the concept product stage.
Geely Holdings has long been a forward-looking group, in November last year to buy the world's first flying car company, Terrafugia, the U.S. Taili Flight Automobile Company (hereinafter referred to as "Taili"). After the acquisition, Geely Holdings, with a sound global R&D production system, injected Taili with the ability to sustain technological innovation. Under the global synergy of Geely, we have speeded up R & D and mass production. The Geely Central European Automotive Technology Center (CEVT) in Sweden and Taili's U.S. R&D headquarters jointly undertake R&D. Lutes'lightweight technology and aerodynamic design experience also provide support, while China's manufacturing base completes production and assembly. Since then, the development speed of the first generation of Tai Li flying vehicle has been improved rapidly.
